Although often overlooked as a popular destination, Thailand has numerous attractions; beaches, wildlife, tropical atmosphere, sports, and last but not least, –shopping! Shopping destinations like Bangkok, Thailand’s capital city, are known throughout the world for low prices, and hundreds of amazing sights, sounds, souvenirs, weird foods, cultural clothing, and accessories, plus hundreds of other interesting products. So it comes as no surprise that beautiful destinations like Patong Beach would be just as famous for their amazing shopping both at night, and in the daylight. Imagine being able to walk from your Patong Beach rental villa or apartment, and be in a mecca for savvy shoppers, in just minutes!
One of the most popular places to shop in Patong, the small, but busy town adjacent to Patong Beach, is Jungceylon on Rat-U-Thit Road, Patong’s main thoroughfare. Jungceylon was delayed in opening, but was much anticipated; when it finally did, shoppers were able to discover three enormous stories full of different stalls, small shops, and opportunities for a quick lunch before going off to shop till they drop. But at night is when Patong’s shopping scene truly comes to life, according to those who frequent Patong’s markets, and outdoor bazaars. The most popular of these is the road along the beach, Taweewong Road.
