Renting Furniture In Phuket

Posted by: Phuket Guide In: General Phuket

Planning to stay a while in Phuket? You might have to make due with no furniture at all until you can find a furniture store with reasonable prices, because guess what?! There are few if any places to buy or rent furniture in Phuket. One example on the island is Ikaya Furniture, however, they offer services that mostly cater to people who are doing the renting, –as in, they furnish apartments quickly for hotels, resorts, and lesser guesthouses. There’s also Beautiful World Furniture & Interiors; they offer a more realistic furniture shopping experience for locals setting up house. They also might offer warranties or refunds for furniture as long as you take care of it, so make sure you ask before purchasing anything.

Another option, as far as the good furniture outlets in Phuket go, there’s Island Furniture, located over on Chaofa West. It’s an outlet store, so the prices there should be reasonable, but warrantees and refunds may be harder to get. Still, be sure to inquire and get the best price possible on any furniture, –it’s technically an outlet store, so you shouldn’t pay show room price. Last but certainly not least, is checking the newspaper. The English Phuket Gazette has a classified marketplace that may have just what you’re looking for. Also, probably for a lower price, and from an English-speaking seller. There’s plenty of shopping in Phuket City so don’t be too wary of just going out and browsing the shops and stalls for what you need.
