What’s Going On In Phuket? April 13th through May 1st

April 13th through the 15th there’s a huge event called the “Songkran Festival”, which falls into the major public holiday celebrations held in Phuket. Songkran is the Thai New Year holiday, and is celebrated during the dry season. Traditionally, the ‘Water Festival’ was celebrated by pouring a little water on one another was meant for good luck, but modernly, people celebrate by dousing each other. If you go to this festival, bring a towel!
April 17th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm there is a small event, “Exhibition at the SALA Phuket Resort and Spa”; there’ll be fine art, food, wine, and classy company.
April 23rd from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm there will be the “Boathouse evening with TV/film producer Ed Vaughan”, at this event, you can expect a great commentary about the modernindustry of literature and film. Ed Vaughan will discuss the success stories of films and novelists, and answer the audeince’s questions.
April 30th through May 1st, from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm, there’s the Symposium: SWIMMING POOL Management & Design. With so many pools and resort spas in the Phuket region, there are many people interested in the industry. It takes place at the Miracle Grand Convention Center.
